    On Turning a New Chapter (And Actually Meaning It)

    People talk about new chapters like they are easy. Close one door, open another, off you go. It is not like that at all.

    In my experience you are usually dragging the old door behind you for quite some time before you finally put it down. But when you do put it down, the lightness is extraordinary.

    I have started over more than once in my life. Each time I thought I was too old, too tired, too far in. Each time I was completely wrong.
